Description

This old hanging scale is signed " CHATILLON, New York, N.Y., Capacity 20 lbs x 1 OZ., Type 720, PAT. D-133207 " in black letters on a clean white background. It was probably used in a grocery store during the 1940s ( the patent number indicates 1942 ). The metal around the side of the scale has its original orange/red paint, the back is black and both areas are clean. The scale works and has an adjustment screw on the bottom where the scale pan hangs. The pan is aluminium and in very good condition.
