Freenote Cloth studied vintage Hawaiian shirts the way archaeologists study broken temples. They borrowed from a friend’s collection spanning decades, searching for the right proportions, the right collar roll, the right sort of looseness a man needs when the weather turns soft and unreasonable.
The fabric is a custom screen-printed linen from Japan. Light enough for heat. Honest enough to wrinkle. There’s delicate double-needle stitching throughout, a camp collar that sits open like it has no appointments to keep, and pleated shoulders so your arms can continue their meaningless but necessary work.
The buttons are mother of pearl from Italy, because human beings cannot resist unnecessary beauty.
