The wells takes its cues from classic workwear garments. Cut from an 8 oz brushed houndstooth cotton from Japan, with a dry, substantial hand and a softer feel than you might expect. The small-scale pattern keeps things understated, while the brushed surface gives the fabric a little more depth up close.
The construction is pure Freenote. Triple-needle stitching where the shirt takes the most strain, fine 1/8" double-needle work, two large acorn-shaped chest pockets and a half-moon reinforcement at the back yoke. Black custom corozo fisheye buttons finish it off nicely.
It has enough weight to work as a shirt on its own or as a light overshirt when the weather allows.
Rinsed and preshrunk, so there should be no unpleasant surprises after the first wash.
