This is a serious cardigan. It weighs around 1.2 kilos, which should tell you most of what you need to know.

Made in France from 100% Merino wool and knitted in a dense 5-gauge construction. Heavy, tight and built for cold weather, without becoming stiff or uncomfortable.

The design is simple and very good. A generous shawl collar, three knitted patch pockets, long ribbed cuffs and natural corozo buttons. Even the inside of the button placket gets some attention, finished with vintage cotton chambray fabric.

The rust orange colour works particularly well with the substantial knit, giving the cardigan a strong workwear character.

Warm, practical and made properly. There is not much else required.
