Built like a proper piece of old workwear, the Engineer Vest takes its cues from early workshop and railway garments, then pushes the details a little further.
Made in Italy from a 13oz. dark indigo denim with a dry, substantial feel, it has a clean V-neck front, contrast stitching and warm-toned corozo buttons that stand out against the denim.
Two large curved lower patch pockets, a small chest patch pocket and an additional horizontal buttoned pocket across the opposite side.
The back is kept deliberately simple, finished with a traditional adjustable buckle strap so the waist can be pulled in or worn a little easier. Small metal rivets reinforce the main pocket openings.
It feels somewhere between an engineer's waistcoat, a hunting vest and an early denim work garment. Wear it over a Henley or chambray shirt now; over heavier knitwear when it gets colder. The raw-looking indigo will do the rest with wear.
