Description

This jacket is based on a vintage Balmacaan-style jacket once worn by members of French fishing cooperatives.

A distinctive vintage detail has been recreated at the pockets, with the facing deliberately brought to the outside to create the appearance of a flap.

The fabric is sulphur-dyed, a dyeing method widely used during the 1920s. Even after a single wash, the fabric begins to develop subtle changes in colour and character, with the appearance continuing to evolve through wear.

Finished with brass buttons made in Nepal. With a high copper content, the buttons gradually change in tone through wear and exposure over time, developing a rich and distinctive patina.
