Hamburg Blue is a classic, workwear pattern closely associated with the seafaring heritage of the city of Hamburg. Characterized by vertical blue stripes, this timeless pattern later made its way especially within the northern metal and shipbuilding industries.
Since the early 20th century, the Hamburg Stripe has been woven into so called Elephant Skin fabric, weighing 520 g/sqm. Once worn in, it develops a beautiful patina. Thanks to its high weft density, the fabric is extremely abrasion-resistant and exceptionally durable.
