Inspired by the fireman coat, arguably one of the ultimate examples of functional workwear, this jacket has been designed with a versatile fingertip-length cut that makes it easy to wear with a variety of outfits.
Its most distinctive feature is the traditional fireman hook fastening at the front, recreated in lightweight aluminium to reduce the overall weight of the garment.
To make the coat more practical for everyday urban wear, a zippered change pocket has been added at the waist, while the hip pockets feature side openings that allow them to double as handwarmer pockets.
The outer fabric is a heavyweight cotton moleskin made from American-grown cotton. The surface undergoes an intensive singeing process to remove excess fibres and minimise unwanted fuzziness, resulting in a tough, clean finish with a distinctly rugged character.
The collar is constructed from high-density cotton corduroy, adding texture and durability.
