LIve at The General Store: VillageH

Sunday September 21st - 7.30 PM
VillageH Live at The General Store
Aperitivo with food, wine and cocktails included.
We met by accident fifteen years ago.
I — Maiky — was sitting with a guitar, plucking out a few rough notes, when Hervé leaned in and said:
“So… you play guitar?”
“I play harmonica.”
Up to that moment, we only knew each other as social workers. But from those scattered notes, a spiral of sound was born from being different. Maiky, chasing the raw pulse of the blues, beating rhythm out of nothing but six strings. Hervé, drawn to Irish reels and the wild paths of world music. Together, those mismatched roots grew into something new: VillageH.
What began as a meeting turned into a journey — from square to square, alley to alley,
on corners and crossroads, wherever we could stop, sit, think, play, meet, and share. An on-the-road project. Because VillageH is our wandering village. A village of two — the bare minimum for community — yet always open, always stretching to hold whoever joined us, even just for one song.
That’s the “Village.” And the “H”?
We chose it because it’s silent. It doesn’t speak — the music does.
Its voice is in the sound itself, a sound that doesn’t tell a story, but digs down to the root.
