Day 14 - Hiking Day in the Indian Peaks Wilderness (Colorado)

Blue Lake via Mitchell Lake Trail.
High altitude hike (3465 meters above sea level). Plenty of wildlife (bears, moose, mountain lions so watch out)

Directions
Start at Brainard Lake Recreational Area. One hour drive westbound from Mead.

This a fabulous hike in which you will encounter two major lakes (Mitchell and Blue) and several other streams and small ponds.The view of the Continental Divide is also magnificent the closer you get to it.
