The Valle d'Otro, just west of the town of Alagna (Vercelli), is accessible only on foot and it leads to the hamlets of Otro.

The six hamlets, whose names are Felleretsch, Follu, Tschukke, Dorf, Scarpia and Weng, are small villages made up of a few houses and are inhabited only during the summer season.

The landscape of the Valle d'Otro is one of the most rugged, intact and best preserved in the region around Monte Rosa.
